A/Prof Harry Merkur is a consultant Obstetrician & Gynecologist and is a founding member and Director of the Sydney West Advanced Pelvic Surgery Unit (SWAPS).
Dr Merkur began his training at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital and furthered his training in the UK.
Areas of specialisation include Colposcopy and management of abnormal PAP smears, Ultrasound and Minimally Invasive Surgery.
Dr Merkur remains heavily involved in the training of Gynaecologists and research in Advanced Laparoscopic Surgery in Western Sydney.

Dr Alan Tong is an Obstetrician and Gynaecologist and is a Visiting Medical Officer at Westmead Public and Private, Norwest Private, Strathfield Private and Blacktown Hospitals. He graduated from the University of Sydney and completed his specialist training at Westmead Hospital and Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh in Scotland. He has a special interest in Infertility (Westmead Fertility Centre and IVF Australia), and Advanced Laparoscopic Surgery
Dr Alan Tong is committed to training medical students (The University of Sydney and The University of Western Sydney), residents, GP trainees, and registrars. He was appointed as a Clinical Superintendent at Westmead Hospital during his final year of training. He is currently a Training Supervisor for Registrars and Residents at the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetrician and Gynaecologist, and a Clinical Lecturer at the University of Sydney.

Dr Greg Jenkins is an Obstetrician & Gynaecologist and is a Visiting Medical Officer at both Westmead & Auburn Hospitals. He commenced specialty training in Westmead hospital and undertook one year of advanced training in the UK before commencing speciality practice in Western Sydney in 1996. He has a strong interest in infertility (Sydney IVF) and endometriosis treatment. Dr Jenkins is also heavily involved in the recruitment and training of new Specialists in the field of Obstetrics and Gynaecology in Western Sydney.
Dr Norman Blumenthal is an Obstetrician & Gynaecologist and has been in private practice since 1984 in Western and Northern Sydney. Dr Blumenthal began his training in South Africa and furthered his training as Senior Registrar at Westmead Hospital and in laparoscopic surgery in France. Dr Arifa Khan is an Obstetrician & Gynaecologist specialising in Minimally Invasive Surgery. Following her graduation she joined Westmead Hospital. In pursuing her special interest she was the Fellow in Advanced Laparoscopic Surgery at Sydney West Advance Pelvic Surgery unit. Dr Khan was awarded a traveling fellowship in 2004 and traveled to world-renowned centres for Endoscopic Surgery in France and Italy and has spent a year working in England.
Dr Seng Chua is an Obstetrician & Gynaecologist with a keen interest in Minimally Invasive Surgery. Dr Seng Chua is a consultant VMO (Westmead Hospital and The Children Hospital, Westmead) and has been in private practice since 2005. He is heavily involved in research in Obstetrics and Gynaecology. He is part of the Specialist Services Group with a multidisciplinary team of more than fifty Specialists and many consulting sites spread across north western Sydney. He is also the President of Australian Chinese Medical Association. His various publications can be obtained through Australian & New-Zealand Journal of Obstratrics and Gynaecology.
Dr John Pardeyis an Obstetrician & Gynaecologist and Director of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at Nepean Hospital He has been in private practice since 1989. He completed his specialist training in the UK and was the first to introduce operative hysteroscopy to Sydney. He is one of the few gynaecologists qualified at the highest level for both Hysteroscopic and Laparoscopic Surgery. He is trained in both vaginal and Laparoscopic mesh repair of pelvic injury. Dr John Pardey’s main interests are in the treatment of Endometriosis, Urogynaecology / prolapse and Minimally Invasive Surgery. He works closely with both psychologists and colorectal surgeons in a multi disciplinary approach to care. He continues to mentor junior doctors in specialist fields of Obstetrics and Gynaecology.
Dr George Hardas is an Obstetrician & Gynaecologist and works in private practice and is a Visiting Medical Officer at Westmead and Blacktown Hospitals. In 2004, Dr Hardas completed the Fellowship with Sydney West Advance Pelvic Surgery unit and he has a special interest in the treatment of women with endometriosis, infertility (Sydney IVF) and in Urogynaecology. Dr Hardas runs the Endogynaecology Clinic at Westmead Hospital, which promotes the teaching and training of Minimally Invasive Surgery.
Dr Matthew Wilson is an Obstetrician and Gynaecologist and is a Visiting Medical Officer at both Westmead and Blacktown hospitals. In addition to placing first in the postgraduate examinations for obstetrics and gynaecology (Australia wide) he has undertaken intensive training in advanced pelvic surgery. He has a keen interest in obstetrics, infertility (in association with Sydney IVF) and minimally invasive surgery. His article on laparoscopic hysterectomy was published in The Journal Of Minimally Invasive Gynaecology in March 2008. Dr Anpalagan is an obstetrician and Gynaecologist, works at Westmead, Westmead private and Norwest private hospitals. At Westmead hospital he supervises a multi-disciplinary Gynaecology clinic.
Dr Anpalagan is a trained advanced laparoscopic surgeon through Sydney West Advanced Pelvic Surgery unit. He has therefore, a strong interest in endoscopic surgery. He also has a strong interest in research and published in The Journal of Minimally Invasive Gynaecology.
Dr Luice Wang is a Gynaecologist specialising in minimally invasive surgery and treatment of endometriosis. She is a visiting medical officer at both Nepean and Blacktown Hospitals. Dr Wang has undertaken 3 years of intensive training in advanced endoscopic gynaecology having completed her fellowship year in 2008 with Sydney West Advanced Pelvic Surgery unit, and further 2 years of fellowship training at Monash Medical Centre in Melbourne, with the Monash Endosurgery unit, where she was heavily involved in advanced laparoscopic, hysteroscopic and urogynaecological training.
Dr Wang was awarded the travelling fellowship in 2009 where she travelled to world renowned endoscopic and robotic surgery centres in the USA. Dr Luice Wang runs a gynaecology clinic in Blacktown and Nepean Hospitals. She is in private practice in Eastwood and Kingswood.

is a fully qualified Australian Specialist in Obstetrics & Gynaecology with a particular expertise in Advanced Gynecological Endoscopic Surgery.
His postgraduate qualifications include F.R.A.N.Z.C.O.G Australia, Master of Surgery (M.S O&G) India, Diploma in Advanced Endoscopy Germany & a Fellowship in Laparoscopy from Singapore & India. He has also completed a 2-year fellowship (2010- 2012) in advanced Gynaecology with the Sydney West Advanced Pelvic Surgery (SWAPS) group in Australia.
He has a keen interest in minimally invasive surgery such as operative hysteroscopy, complex laparoscopy involving Pelvic pain & Infertility (endometriosis), removal of fibroids (myomectomy) and removal of the uterus (hysterectomy). He also has an interest in the management of involuntary leakage of urine (incontinence), weakening & prolapse of pelvic organs (pelvic floor dysfunction).
Along with his keen interest in laparoscopy, he has an equal interest in clinical work, research and teaching. He has six international publications to his credit so far.

Dr Warren Chan is a Fertility Specialist and Advanced Laparoscopic Gynaecological Surgeon practicing in Sydney’s Hills District.
His areas of expertise include – Assisted Reproductive Techniques (IVF, ICSI, PGD), Female Infertility (PCOS, Ovulation Disorders, Recurrent Miscarriage), Male Infertility & Advanced Laparoscopic Gynaecological Surgery (Endometriosis, Fibroids, Tubal & Ovarian Pathology).
After obtaining first class honours in his medical degree at UNSW, Dr Chan completed his specialist training in Obstetrics & Gynaecology at Westmead Hospital. This included several years of intensive training in complex gynaecological surgery involving minimally invasive techniques. He has also completed postgraduate studies in Reproductive Medicine.

Christopher completed a two-year Fellowship in Gynaecological Endoscopy with the Sydney West Advanced Pelvic Surgery Unit. He received the Australasian Gynaecological Endoscopy and Surgery / Covidien Travelling Fellowship, gaining expertise in the field of robotic surgery at the Global Robotics Institute, Florida USA. He was also heavily involved in clinical research and teaching, being awarded the 2013 RANZCOG Shan S Ratnam Australian Young Gynaecologist Award. Christopher is now a specialist in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at North Shore Private Hospital, the Mater Hospital, and Royal North Shore Hospital. He has a strong interest in the surgical management of infertility, endometriosis, pelvic floor dysfunction, and urinary incontinence. Christopher is also an Adjunct Lecturer at Notre Dame University.

Bassem Gerges (Bas) is an obstetrician and gynaecolgoist who understands the importance of providing high level care in a supportive environment. He has an interest in proiding the appropriate gynaecological treatments and surgery in the least invasive way with quality, specialised obstetric care to support women throughout their pregnancy journey.
Bas undertook a research fellowship in Gynaecological Ultrasound during which time he had multiple papers published with leading journals (Ultrasound in Obstetrics and Gynaecology, JMIG, IUGJ, Australian and New Zealand Journal of Obstetrics and Gynaecology) and presented his research at national and international conferences in Las Vegas, Montreal and Rome (AGES, AAGL and ISUOG). Bas is particularly interested in gynaecological and “endometriosis” ultrasound, allowing him to provide women with holistic care.

Mark Ruff is an obstetrician and gynaecologist working on Sydney’s Northern Beaches and North Shore. Mark has a strong belief in patient centred care, ensuring individualised management plans tailored to each patient’s needs and desires.
In his final two years of specialist training, Mark pursued an interest in advanced laparoscopic gynaecological surgery, successfully obtaining a fellowship position with the Australasian Gynaecological Endoscopy & Surgery Society, which he undertook with the Sydney West Advanced Pelvic Surgery Unit (SWAPS). While completing this fellowship, he also obtained a Masters of Advanced Gynaecological Surgery from Western Sydney University, graduating with distinction. Combined, these higher level qualifications give him both the knowledge and surgical skill to tackle complex operative gynaecological issues in the best manner for his patients.
Mark operates in public and private hospitals, with official appointments at Mona Vale Hospital, North Shore Private Hospital, The Mater Hospital and Sydney Adventist Hospital. In addition to English, Mark is able to speak conversational Japanese, which means most consultations can be performed in Japanese if required.

Gynaecologist, Obstetrician & Laparoscopic Surgeon
Dr Chow is a gynaecologist and obstetrician, interested in the management of pain in the pelvis and the body. He has a longstanding interest in the promotion of health in women, providing care for endometriosis, menstrual problems, infertility, preconception and early pregnancy care, urinary incontinence, prolapse and abnormal Pap smears.
After completing his medical degree at the University of New South Wales, Dr Chow went on to train as a specialist at the Royal Hospital for Women. He undertook further surgical training in laparoscopy and pelvic surgery at the AGES accredited SWAPS unit in Sydney. He then undertook pain specialty training in the management of pelvic and perineal pain under the tutelage of Professor Vancaillie, and postgraduate specialist training in general pain management at Prince of Wales Hospital.
Dr Tim Chang is a gynaecologist, endoscopic surgeon and fertility specialist. He consults exclusively in Campbelltown and is a consultant Visiting Medical Officer at Macarthur Health Services, and Campbelltown Private Hospital.
Tim's main interest is managing gynaecological conditions with minimal invasive techniques. This includes using laparoscopic (keyhole) surgery and hysteroscopic (surgery inside the womb) surgery to avoid major abdominal incisions. Today many gynaecological conditions can be managed with keyhole surgery, including hysterectomy, severe endometriosis, incontinence and vaginal prolapse.
Tim also has a major interest in infertility. He deals with all aspects of infertility including major endometriosis surgery and IVF associated with GENEA ( formerly Sydney IVF).
Dr Maree Wallwork is a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist who graduated from James Cook University, Townsville, Queensland, with her Bachelor of Medicine & Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) in 2008.
Maree began her Internship in 2009 at Gold Coast Hospital in Queensland, and continued at Gold Coast Hospital as Registrar in Obstetrics & Gynaecology until the end of 2010. In 2011 Maree moved to Penrith and began her formal training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at Nepean Hospital. During her training she worked at Orange Base Hospital and Westmead Hospital and gained experience in general and specialised Obstetrics and Gynaecology.
In 2015 Maree undertook the role of Provisional Fellow in Maternal Fetal Medicine, Perinatal Ultrasound and Education at Nepean Hospital and the University of Sydney. Maree was awarded the Excellence in Clinical Education, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Nepean Clinical School, The University of Sydney. Following this, she became Senior Registrar in Obsetrics and Gynaecology at Nepean Hospital in 2016.
In 2017 Maree became a SWAPS Fellow (Sydney West Advanced Pelvic Surgery) and Provisional Fellow at Nepean Hospital, Nepean Private Hospital, Norwest Private Hospital and Sydney Adventist Hospital.
In 2018 Maree received her Fellowship from the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RANZCOG). In 2019, Maree completed her Master of Surgery (Advanced Gynaecological Surgery), at Western Sydney University. Maree has been a Clinical Associate Lecturer at Sydney University since 2011.
Since 2018 Maree has worked as a Staff Specialist at Nepean Hospital, and Visiting Medical Officer at Nepean Private Hospital. Having worked closely with A/Prof. John Pardey throughout her time at Nepean Hospital, Maree accepted John's invitation to join his Practice as an Associate.
